Mike Hamilton has helped me build my game on all 3 levels. His passion for the game and sharing his basketball knowledge with me has helped me with my on-court performance. He has also helped me improve my confidence and that’s what the biggest change in my game has been since working with him. That also goes along with the early mornings or late-night workouts which he is consistent with me. Whether it’s a long workout or short workout or recovery session he says we’re always going get something out of this.
I had the privilege of working closely with Michael Hamilton for an enriching span of three years. Since I started working out with Mike two summers ago, my game has improved in so many ways. Training with him allowed me to have someone to consistently be there with me in the gym and push me to limits I couldn’t reach by myself. We worked hard and we worked smart. He pushed me through hundreds and hundreds of reps over countless hours, for real I owe a lot to him and the work we put in. Mike is great as a trainer because he was able to identify what I needed to work on as a basketball player and find ways to mimic those actions through training. It made it easy as a player because all I had to do was listen and work my hardest, everything else was planned by him.
I met Mike Hamilton back in 2020, at that time I was just playing high school basketball. I had dreams about becoming a professional basketball player, but I couldn't find myself a team for college or pro leagues. The first time he saw me play, he told me I had huge potential and if I put in the work, don’t quit and be ready for any opportunity that may come my way, anything is possible. Then he started training me, we worked together for 2 years. He pushed me so hard on workouts and skill development. Finally, I signed my first professional contract when I was 20. After I became a professional player, we stayed in touch and talked about mistakes, what I could improve, and we worked on them. He really helped me a lot through my journey, showed me what it takes to be better and how to challenge myself on every workout and every game.
Since I've been working with Mike he's been pushing me through the adversity of my game. He challenges and it doesn't happened in one sitting but as the week goes on I'm seeing myself conquering these obstacles. Mike has given my game more confidence and along with his advice as I navigate into a new transition of being a college athlete to a pro. One thing to know about Mike is he's a worker and your going to get better with challenges and consistency
